Four crews headed down to San Fran to race around the Rock August long weekend. One of them placed first in their Mixed Open Division making it the first time a Canadian team has placed in the race. Congrats!

Five teams were entered by PSCC in the 6km Bridges Race Oct. 22, 2005. Motivated novice paddlers, new members and a great first race for many. Times can be found on: Bridges 2005 Race Results

PSCC's first International Race was the 41st Catalina Channel Crossing Saturday Sept 10, 2005. This was the first Catalina race for the 9-person mixed open crew which consisted of 3 men and 6 women. The 27mile course from Newport to Catalina Island took them about 4 hours 42 minutes. Results can be found on: Catalina Crossing

The Canadian Iron Championship Race was held at Jericho Sailing Centre Aug 13, 1005. PSCC entered two Novice crews that place 1st and 5th place of 13 entries in the Novice distance race. The Vernon Freshwater Challenge was our first ever water change race July 31, 2005. We entered the Open Mixed 45km race in preparation for Catalina. It was a long haul with the beautiful sun smiling on us for the 4++ hrs of paddling fun. Changes were greatly welcomed and the lake was warm. Results can be found on: Vernon OC6 Race

The Island Iron in Cadboro Bay, Victoria on June 11, 2005 was a challenging course. Gale winds, waves and currents made for an exciting course. Results for our open mixed OC6 crew: Island Iron Results and the Pogues OC2 race June 12: Trial by Water

The Jericho Iron May 28, 2005 was a beautiful day spent on the water and at the beach. Congratulations to both our Novice teams: one first place finish, and a new race experience under the belt for some of our Novice paddlers. The Open Mixed team came in 2nd place in their division.
