Information
Weeknight practices are most often in the dark in the winter or
during later practices in the summer. Paddling at night is quite
a beautiful time to see Vancouver from the water as it is quite
serene and relaxing. With emphasis on safety, the following requirements
must be met.
1. All paddlers must wear Personal Flotation Devices or Life Jackets
2. All boats must have bow and stern lights
3. Paddlers may wear a blinking bike light on their PFD’s
for extra visibility
4. Ensure that each boat is equipped with bailers and a throw rope
5. Paddle into False Creek or within 50m of shore
