Dragon Boat 2008

Vancouver Ocean Sports now has hired staff running the Dragon Boat program out of the Burrard Marina. Pogue Sports is lucky to have a wide range of boats that will be used for almost all festivals and races in North America. Our fleet contains the Millennium Dragon Boat that is used in festivals on the island, in the interior and lower mainland. We have the old faithful 6/16 which shares the Alcan responsibilities and many other small festivals. We increased our performance advantage with the Simon River Sports boat that was used at the 2006 World Club Crews and other major events in the east. This is a high performance, light boat that will get paddlers ready for the BUK or others IDBF boats. No other facility offers a wide selection of boats like Pogue Sports Canoe Club.

Our large compound includes ample parking, heated washrooms, change cabins, shelter, new paddles and PFD's, coach boat, and access to OC 6 during non-program club times.

• *Our Dragon boat programs provide you with the opportunity to cross train in outrigger canoes	*All members of your team are offered 15% discounts off our Intro to Outrigger Program that teaches the basics of OC paddling, indispensable in its ability to strengthen individual paddling technique in any boat
  *You can add a full Outrigger membership for access to our ongoing OC programs and small boat use by becoming a full PSCC member for only $150 + GST per person.	*In addition, members are given 10% discounts off gear with Pogue Sports to prepare them for the season.
  *A coach boat is also available for use by certified operators.	*First registrants get priority picks for practice times that are available 7 days a week.
  *Weekday practices are 1.5hrs and weekend slots are 2hrs in length.	*All registration includes Fiberglass boats with paddles and PFD’s
